About this game
Start as a single pawn on a chessboard 1,000 ranks long and race to the top. Every move you make, black answers with a real chess move, and the board crumbles away behind you. Take a piece and you become it: capture a knight to jump, capture a rook to slide, and reach a gold rank to become a queen. Familiar chess, turned into a fast and tense run.
How to Play
Tap or click a highlighted square to move. Red squares can be taken by black. Capture a piece to become that piece. Every 10th rank is gold and turns you into a queen. Get taken and you drop one level; as a pawn you lose a heart. Keep moving: the board collapses behind you.
